About

A number of our Kalinga Vysya community members are staying in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) practising different professions. A strong desire was felt to bring all the members of our community staying in different parts of Delhi NCR (including Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon) to a common platform for a strong social bonding and to help each other. Accordingly, the Samaj was formed and registered on June 06, 1995 with Registrar of Societies, Delhi. With this modest aim the Samaj was started in 1995 by Dr Tarnala Banambar Patra, Sri Silla Koteshwara Rao, Dr. Konchada Sankara Narayana Subudhi, Sri Doki Giridhar Rao, Sri Satish Kumar Tankala, Sri K Venugopal, Smt S. Radha, Smt Konchada Girija Subudhi and Tangudu Sashibhushan Rao, as the founding governing body members.

During its journey through the years, members of the Samaj came forward and participated in various social activities like reconstruction works (aftermath of Odisha Cyclone in 1999), blood donation camps, free health checkup camps, Talks on Healthy lifestyles by Doctors of our Samaj, donating clothes/ blankets to the needy etc.

Samaj regularly tries to reach out to our community members staying in Delhi NCR for enrolling as life members. The life membership fee is presently fixed at Rs. 11,000/- per adult member of Kalinga Vysya Family payable on joining and membership ceases on member’s death. As of now, the Samaj boasts of more than 100  life members. Each life member will have privileges like right to vote during election of Governing Body Members (which is held once in five years) and also can contest elections for any post in Governing Body. The Samaj also has a separate category of members  called the Patron Members who have contributed to the finances of the Samaj, by contributing Rs.15,000 each and enjoy preferential treatment during various physical gatherings.

The affairs of the Samaj are managed by its Governing body which meets periodically and sorts out issues of Governance and chalks out plans for the year ahead. The Governing Body has been working hard to make KVS (Delhi) as the Umbrella Organisation for all Kalinga Vysya Samaj groups operating at various locations in the country.

Presently (for 2025 – 30), Shri Srinivas Kotni, (an eminent Lawyer and Managing Partner at the law firm LEXPORT) is the Chairman of the Samaj.

The Governing body for the period 2025 -30 comprises the following members:

  • President: Sri K Satyanarayana Subudhi (Retired as Assistant Commissioner, Delhi Police and presently working as a consultant in a renowned finance company in India)
  • Vice President:  Sri Korada Gopal Krishna Patro (Retired General Manager from Engineers India Limited)
  • Secretary: Sri Jagannath Rao Andhavarapu(Chief General Manager, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited)
  • Joint Secretary: Sri Ashok Boyina(Entrepreneur, Mahita Info Tech, Kalkaji)
  • Treasurer: Sri Anil Kumar Una (Chartered Accountant)

As per its bye laws, the Samaj has the following Aims & objectives:

Aims & Objectives

  • To contribute to the growth and welfare of its members in particular and public in general;
  • To promote and spread education among its members and public;
  • To run a library of books and publications giving information on the various courses offered by different Universities and Institutions of higher learning;
  • To create facilities for lodging and boarding for the benefits of outstation students of Kalinga Vysyas and general public, who need assistance for fulfilling their ambition for pursuing higher education and appearing in competitive examinations;
  • To maintain a register containing the bio data of boys and girls (who are eligible for marriage) belonging to Kalinga Vysyas families who need such information for arranging marriages;
  • To establish, maintain and run cultural and educational institutions including tutorial and coaching Institutions for the benefit of the members and general public;
  • To help poor boys and girls in giving Vocational training and assisting them to have a gainful employment;
  • To raise funds and collect donations necessary to serve the above objectives for developing economic, social and educational standards;
  • To start a consultancy organisation for suitable placement of educated unemployed or under employed boys and girls of Kalinga Vysyas and general public;

To carry on all other lawful activities as are incidental to and as may be deemed necessary and conducive to the interests of Kalinga Vysya Samaj (Delhi);
