About Us

A significant number of Kalinga Vysya community members have made the Delhi National Capital Region (including Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gurgaon) their home, pursuing diverse professions as part of their career aspirations. Recognizing the need to bring together these dispersed community members onto a common platform to foster strong social bonding and mutual support, the Kalinga Vysya Samaj – Delhi NCR was formed and formally registered on June 06, 1995 with the Registrar of Societies, Delhi.

The Samaj was founded with a modest yet meaningful vision by a group of dedicated individuals including Dr. Tarnala Banambar Patra, Sri Silla Koteshwara Rao, Late Dr. Sankaranarayana Subudhi Konchada, Sri Doki Giridhar Rao, Late Sri Satish Kumar Tankala, Sri K. Venugopal, Smt. S. Radha, Smt. Konchada Girija Subudhi, and Sri Tangudu Sashibhushan Rao, among others.

Over the years, the Samaj has grown steadily with new members joining and actively participating in various social initiatives. These include blood donation camps, free health check-up camps, contributions to disaster relief efforts (notably, during the Odisha Super Cyclone in 1999), organizing health awareness talks by doctors from within the community, and distribution of clothing and blankets to the underprivileged.

To maintain a connected and vibrant community, the Samaj continuously reaches out to Kalinga Vysya families in Delhi NCR, encouraging them to enroll as life members. The life membership is currently set at Rs. 5,000/- per adult, payable once for lifetime. As of now, the Samaj proudly has 108 life members, of whom 7 have departed from this world. In accordance with the rules, life membership ceases upon the member’s demise.

In addition to life members, the Samaj also recognizes Patron Members, who have made generous contributions of Rs. 15,000/- or more, thereby supporting the financial health of the organization.

Life members enjoy certain privileges, such as the right to vote in the election of the Governing Body, which takes place every five years. They are also eligible to contest for any post within the Governing Body.
